Minutes – Committee Meetings

Cranfield Parish Council Committees

The work of the Parish Council is divided up into Committees, each dealing with a separate area.  The current Committees are as follows

Burial Grounds Committee – deals with any issues or questions raised in relation to the Cemetery and Churchyard.

Environment Committee – looks after the open spaces in Cranfield including parks and play areas, grass cutting and trees.

Finance and Grants Committee – sets the budgets and precept, considers applications for grants under s137 of the Local Government Act 1972

General Purposes Committee – is responsible for everything that is not specifically covered by one of the other Committees!

HR and Policy Committee – is concerned with all HR issues including recruitment, salaries and welfare and training of employees along with the development and publication of Council Policy.

Planning Committee – is advised, by Central Bedfordshire Council, of all planning applications relevant to the Cranfield Parish as a statutory consultee and has the opportunity to comment (please note that it does not have the power to decide planning applications).  The Committee also represents Cranfield on various stakeholder groups working alongside other Parish and Town Councils.
